guy on the radio - BBC morning programme - top businessman, talking about employees before customers, cooperation and negotiation rather than coercion - and the fact that graduates are not fit for the job market - get the clip - and this would link in to thoughts on group work - team work

in a school context the customer is the parent, the product the child - thinking about management styles...

Mali

I have done some collaborative work with Mali, a teacher from Canada - both around the Rock Our World project, and with photoshoppingpong. http://www.iearn-canada.org

iPads

My main exploration this year will revolve around the 10 iPads that we have acquired - getting student to work with these devices in creative ways - finding out how these devices can further creativity in the art room and across the school.

Rock Our World

Rock our World is a world wide collaboration using software such as skype and Adobe Connect. The theme this year was Peace, with an emphasis on creativity - specifically animation.

Year 5 + 6 animation

Sessions with J 5 and J6 based around simple animation techniques, and the history of photography and animation - to fit in with a project that students are doing in class - two/three sessions with each group.

aardman exhibition opening

The introductory event for the flick flip flick - quite a room full of teachers attended, to hear about the project. They were very taken with my collection of flip books. The main event was the opening of the exhibition of Aadman animator’s flipbooks. Stephen Hoskins and Peter Lord introduced the event, and several of the Aardman contributors talked about the creation of their flip books.
